Dark Sky Finder
This page was written when I had more free time than I do now. It's far from perfect, and I've been provided with many excellent suggestions for improvements (map coverage of Europe, an Android version for mobile devices, etc.). Sadly, I just don't have the time to implement these suggestions. If you're a web developer with an interest in astronomy, please feel free to contact me and I'd be happy to share the source code for the site -- to hand it over to another developer or group of developers. If you have any other questions/comments/suggestions, please email me at: [email protected] -- Jonathan Tomshine.
UPDATE:I've made the source code & a database snapshot (as of November 9, 2010) available for download here. If you use this, please let me know just for my own curiosity. Also, submitted sites cannot currently be edited or deleted. If you would like me to add or modify information about a site (or delete it enitirely), please email me with the request. I will act on these emails, but don't expect an immediate response.
